  3. Your eyes have nerve cells that respond to light.
  4. Light from an object is focussed by the lens of the eye onto the retina at the back of the eyeball.
  5. Messages are sent to the brain along the optic nerve.  The brain responds by making the eye adjust to let the best amount of light in.
  6.
