Human waste in the form of urine and excrement must be removed from the house as quickly as possible.
After you flush the toilet the waste is usually sent through a series of sewers until it gets to a Sewage Plant. There, the liquid is put through a series of screens and filters to purify the water. The liquid is also treated with chemicals that kill germs.
Some of the water eventually gets back into the water supply.
