  10. This photograph of the moon was taken by me from my backyard in Salt
  11. Lake City, Utah, USA. I used a Celestron Ultima 8 PEC telecope and a
  12. Pentax K1000 camera. The shot was taken at the prime focus of the
  13. telescope, which acts as a 2000mm lens at f/10. The expousre time is
  14. 1/1000th of a second on TMAX 3200 film.

  16. By "prime focus" above, I mean that the telescope was effectively used
  17. as the lens for the camera. The eyepiece was removed from the scope,
  18. the camera's normal lens was removed from the body, and with a
  19. telescope/camera T-adapter I hooked the camera body up to the
  20. telescope.

  22. Adobe Photoshop was used to scan in the image from a Howtek scanner.
