  20.          dev-cont.ans -
  21.                         A decent font by deviant.  As usual, we have his
  22.                         typical shading and shaping styles, which aren't
  23.                         bad.  The coloring is type-meatpod, and the first
  24.                         'con' of the font is very nicely done.
  25.                         Unfortunately, the end 't' has fairly bad
  26.                         curving, and the background doesn't curve nicely
  27.                         around it..

  30. Iron Lung
  31.          i_l-ill.asc  - Hrm, I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a
  32.                         font, or a design.. either way, it's nicely curved
  33.                         and shaped. Although, to be honest.. I don't
  34.                         really see the point in having 'pointless' designs
  35.                         in ascii packs.. :(

  38.          i_l-web.asc  - Another typical Iron Lung ascii.  I'm starting to
  39.                         wonder if Iron Lung knows that his asciis could be
  40.                         smoother?  At a glance, you think that he does
  41.                         them this way because he's trying to get an 'ascii
  42.                         low-ascii' look to his art.  But.. he doesn't use
  43.                         all low-ascii. There are quite a few high ascii
  44.                         characters littering this piece.  Maybe instead of
  45.                         using .,yy##QQ$$ for that one select ascii, he
  46.                         could have tried other combinations to get a
  47.                         smoother effect? All in all, lung is a great
  48.                         artist.. he just needs to touch up his style a
  49.                         bit. Change a few characters here & there.

  52. Otium Man
  53.          om-cook.asc  - The overall look of this pic is fairly nice.
  54.                         However, the shaping, shading, and curving is
  55.                         *very* rough. Character stabs such as OM's
  56.                         "$$$/$$$" pattern's at the top of the crown should
  57.                         not be used.  They make the overall ascii look
  58.                         very sloppy.

  61.          om-jmbm.asc  - This pic is better shaped than the last one, but
  62.                         there's still a few things I don't understand.
  63.                         Otium Man: Why do you perfectly curve the ascii
  64.                         with sharp curves, but have the long outer curves
  65.                         looking so jagged & rough?  $/ is *not* a good
  66.                         character to use for gradual slopes.  Despite
  67.                         this, I thought the glasses of the man were very
  68.                         well done, a lot of nice detail, and it was curved
  69.                         nicely there.

  72.          om-tre.asc   - This pic is better than the last, I guess because
  73.                         it's mostly solid,and there's little open shading
  74.                         (which otium man still hasn't seem to have
  75.                         mastered).  I really liked the low ansi
  76.                         underneath the eyes.. great effect.

  79.          om-vpro.asc  - Dear .. god .. This ascii is one of otium man's
  80.                         weaker ones.  The side 'shading' makes the ascii
  81.                         have an allround 'ugly' effect.. and the
  82.                         shaping/curving is horrible. The only thing that
  83.                         saves it is it's good use of negative space.
  84.                         Please, use qc.. pleaaase.

  87.          om-vsy.asc   - Wow, this one is the best so far by Otium Man.
  88.                         Very nicely done as a smaller pic, and even
  89.                         though it has his normal 'rough' curving and
  90.                         shaping.. He still manages to pull it off.  Plus,
  91.                         this piece is a change from his repetative 'face'
  92.                         asciis. Nice job.

  96.          phl-glz1.asc - Uh, what's this?  A face by itself is quite plain.
  97.                         The shading is non-existant, and the shaping is
  98.                         'alright'. His selection of characters seems to
  99.                         resemble the other Galza members'.  (Which is
  100.                         unfortunate).  Arg..

  103.          phl-ultm.asc - Again, what's this?  I think this guy needs to
  104.                         work on his ascii presentation skills.  Jeez.

  107. Joint asciis
  108.          us-bonse.asc - Brilliant ascii.  The ;88's add a really nice
  109.                         effect, and make the image look like an extreme
  110.                         white on black. I really enjoyed looking at this
  111.                         pic, and besides that, the shaping/curving is
  112.                         great too.  The font is also really well done,
  113.                         very nice curving and preportioning.  *clap*
  114.                         *clap*

  117.          us-galza.ans - This almost looks like a squished gif2ascii
  118.                         attempt.  The perportioning *really* needs work,
  119.                         and the character's facial features are off.
  120.                         The only thing that saves it is the amazing font
  121.                         at the bottom.  It makes it look almost metallic
  122.                         the way the greys are done.  Great font, horrible
  123.                         pic.

  126.          zs-galza.ans - An alright zerostar font.  Nice curving, and
  127.                         shaping.  I've come to expect this when looking at
  128.                         a zs-* file though.

  131. Pack highlights
  132.          Allround, the pack was alright.  It gets very repetitive when
  133.          there's only a few artists releasing similar pieces over and
  134.          over. :( The pic I thought was the best was obviously
  135.          us-bonse.asc, and coming in second is that other pic by otum man
  136.          with the small girl.  Hopefully there will be maybe a touch of
  137.          color next month to liven things up, or maybe even a few long
  138.          pics?  Hrm...
