Welcome to the 1995 Toyota Interactive
CD-ROM Program. It's just part of
"Toyota Interactive" which includes
diskettes covering selective vehicles;
the 1995 Toyota Screen Saver; and direct
access to Toyota through on-line services
such as Prodigy, America Online, CompuServe
and Toyota's World Wide Web site.
Minimum System Requirements (for Windows):
-386 machine
-256-color Display
-8 MB of RAM recommended
-Windows 3.1 or later
-QuickTime for Windows 2.0.1
-Sound Card
-3 MB of hard disk space
-Double-speed CD-ROM drive
Installation Procedures for Windows:
1) If you don't already have Quicktime
for Windows 2.0.1 installed, you must install it
from the 1995 Toyota Interactive CD-ROM.
You will find the installer program, "SETUP.EXE",
inside the "QTW201" directory on the CD-ROM.
The following instructions will help you install it.
A) Choose "Run" from the Program Manager's "File" menu.
B) Type "D:\QTW201\SETUP.EXE" in the command line field.
C) Click once on the "OK" button.
D) Once the installer program is running
choose a "Local" installation by selecting
the "Continue" button in the "Installation
Options" dialog box.
E) NOTE: There is no reason to register
Quicktime for Windows, so just bypass
that part of the installation.
F) Remember to restart Windows. Until
you do so Quicktime will remain inactive.
2) To run the 1995 Toyota Interactive program either:
A) Double-click on the TOYOTA95.EXE file
from within the File Manager.
B) Choose "Run" from the Program Manager's
"File" menu and type "D:\TOYOTA95" in the
command line field. Then just click once on "OK."
Optimizing Toyota Interactive's Performance:
Toyota Interactive requires the full attention
of your computer, so it's recommended that you
quit all other applications prior to starting.
If video performance is slow, try setting your
monitor to 256 colors.
Quick Check List:
1) Verify the installation of
QuickTime for Windows 2.0.1.
2) Quit any other applications.
3) Make sure your monitor is set to 256-color mode
or better. (The method used to verify/change
this varies from model to model, so consult
your Owner's Manual if you are not certain
how many colors you are displaying.)
4) Call 1-800-GO-TOYOTA for futher assistance.
IBM Thinkpad Owners:
If you are running the program from an IBM Thinkpad
and are experiencing problems, you may need to install
a patch program. The software can be obtained from
IBM Tech Support at 800-772-2227. Be sure to read
their installation instructions carefully.
