  2. Welcome to POPOUT-TEXT!
  3.  
  4. To install POPOUT-TEXT onto your hard disk, click on 'File'
  5. in Windows' Program Manager, then click on 'Run'.  Type the 
  6. command A:\INSTALL (assuming your floppy is drive A:).
  7.  
  8. POPOUT-TEXT is a character based stereogram generator,
  9. capable of generating alpha-style stereogram text files 
  10. with up to 8 levels of depth.
  11.  
  12. This product is Freeware, meaning that you are welcome
  13. to use it and distribute it freely, with no registration
  14. requirements.  When you distribute POPOUT-TEXT, we ask
  15. only that you include all of the following files:
  16.  
  17. README.TXT   - This file.
  18. INSTALL.EXE  - The POPOUT Install utility.  
  19. INSTALL.INF  - The POPOUT Install Information file.
  20. POPTEXT.EXE  - POPOUT-TEXT executable
  21. POPTEXT.HLP  - POPOUT-TEXT Help File
  22. SOURCE.TXT   - Sample Source File containing two squares at two different
  23.                levels.
  24. DEST.TXT     - Sample Destination file generated by POPOUT-TEXT, using  
  25.                SOURCE.TXT as the Source File.
  26. POPLITE.BMP  - Sample RDS Image generated by POPOUT-LITE.
  27. POPPRO.BMP   - Sample Dual-Image Stereogram created by POPOUT-PRO.
  28. POPOUT.INI   - Init file used to set POPOUT-TEXT defaults.
  29. FILE_ID.DIZ  - A text file describing POPOUT-TEXT.

  31. The following POPOUT products are also available from the 
  32. authors of POPOUT-TEXT:
  33.  
  34. POPOUT-LITE is designed specifically for the everyday 
  35. user who wants to create Random Dot Stereogram images 
  36. from images that he or she has hand drawn using Paintbrush 
  37. or something similar.  POPOUT-LITE will generate Black &
  38. White, Random or Custom colored images with up to 16 levels 
  39. of depth.

  41. POPOUT-PRO, on the other hand, was designed for users who
  42. want all of the capabilities of POPOUT-LITE, plus the ability
  43. to generate print-quality images.  POPOUT-PRO will generate 
  44. up to 256 levels of depth, can read and write Targa formatted 
  45. images, and has the ability to create Dual-Image stereograms.
  46. POPOUT-PRO has a number of additional options, such as the
  47. ability to filter Targa Source images, and create either
  48. the common Divergent or the less common Convergent type
  49. of stereoscopic images.
