- MI-Rip is currently in a beta test mode. The following information is
- provided to my beta testers to help get you through the commands. I know
- these instructions are very awkward for now, but please bare with me since
- I am just adding information as I complete each area in the program. I plan
- on completing this documentation after the program is done.
-
- Use the Right Mouse Button (or F1) to display the Pop-Up menu. All menu
- choices that are working are in normal Black color. Uncompleted menu choices
- are in bright white, which I hope to complete at a later date. You can use
- the Right Mouse Button or the ESC key to back out of the menus. Use the
- Mouse Left Button (or the Arrow Keys and Enter Key) to select a menu choice.
-
- The following commands are available through key commands or through the
- Pop-Up menu:
-
- FILE COMMANDS
- Alt-N New Screen, clears the current file loaded and screen.
- F2 Load Script. RIP filenames will be displayed for selection.
- F3 Save Script. If no file name was used, a file name will be
- requested.
- Ctrl-L Load Icon. Icon filenames will be displayed for selection.
- Ctrl-O Print Screen on Epson-FX/IBM Proprinter type printer.
- Ctrl-X Save and Exit.
- Alt-D Shell to DOS. Type EXIT when done to return!
- Alt-X Exit, does not save.

- ADD COMMANDS
- L Draw Line.
- X Draw Pixel.
- T Write Text @ designated Location.
- Ctrl-T Write Text at current X,Y position.
- P Draw Polygon - Use the Right Mouse Button to place each point.

- filled.

- drawn.
-
- OPTION COMMANDS
- Alt-S Change the Bezier Curve Segment value.

- Shift-F10 Redraw Scene single step, press any key for each step
- or ESC to complete draw.
-
- FILL COMMANDS
- F7 Change Fill Color

-
- WINDOW COMMANDS
- W Add Text Window
-
-
- For all drawing modes, click the Left Button to start the action and then
- click the Left Button to end the action. Clicking the Right button
- will cancel most actions. Most drawing modes at this time are single
- use. You must reselect the mode to repeat the action each time. I
- might change this later.
-
- A lot of the pop up boxes may require the Right Mouse button to be pressed to
- close the box if you want to cancel it (like the color or fill boxes.)
- I plan on later to add the ESC key to these choices.
-
- During most of the drawing modes like adding an icon or buttons, you can press
- the space bar to bring up a small box in the corner that displays the
- mouse pointers x and y coordinates.
-
-
- MI-RIP.DAT
- The MI-RIP.DAT file is to hold some program defaults. The following lines
- can be added to it. The lines must start exactly like shown below up
- to the "=" sign. After the equal sign, it is up to you to enter your
- information as needed. No spaces after the equal sign!
- @BBS@=your bbs name
- RIPPATH=c:\mi-rip\rip
- ICONPATH=c:\mi-rip\icons
- BUTTONPATH=c:\mi-rip\buttons
- BACKUP=YES
-
- The BACKUP will either be YES or NO after the equal sign (no spaces). If set
- to YES, upon saving RIP files, the original file will be saved under
- the same name but with .BAK as the extension.
-
- The icons and buttons are compatible to RIPAINT files. Currently, I do not
- save button files but will in the future.
-
- The current registration of $25.00 for this test version will be good on all
- future version of MI-RIP. Once I complete the final completed version
- this registration will probably go up some, so if you want to help me
- complete this program and want to save some money on the final version
- please register it now.
