-
- What is SuperGraphix???
-
- SuperGraphix is very similar to popular screen saver programs. It is
- not a traditional screen saver program however since SuperGraphix does
- not automatically activate (when a key is not pressed over time).
- Similarly, SuperGraphix is NOT a TSR, and will not stay in memory.
- You must start SuperGraphix to view the various superVGA graphics.
-
- To start SuperGraphix, at the DOS prompt, type SG and then press
- enter (return). SuperGraphix can be run in automatic (no menu) mode
- by entering /A on the command line. For example:
-
- SG /A
-
- The automatic (no menu) mode is particularly helpful for those wishing
- to go directly into the demo mode (no menu) from autoexec.bat. The
- automatic (no menu) mode is ideal for dealers with computers on
- display. SuperGraphix will run fine under Windows and comes with an
- icon, SG.ICO.
-
- SuperGraphix will detect your graphics card, but will not detect your
- monitor's capabilities. If your monitor becomes unreadable press Esc,
- or reboot your computer to reset and try a lower resolution (mode).
-
- Programmers! You can create your own demo for the world to see!
- Programmers are invited to create demos for SuperGraphix. Read
- "DEMO.TXT" for details.
-
-
- NOTES AND TIPS:
-
- * View HELP from the Main Menu for tips on viewing demos.
-
- * For best speed and clarity, the 800x600x256 color mode is
- recommended.
-
- * Give the demo time to display. Many demos have been programmed to
- change colors when they are finished drawing. Be patient!
-
- * Because of the floating point math involved, some modules will
- take time to display on slower computers (Globe, Fireworks, and
- Explosive come to mind). On the other hand, if you have a 486DX
- 33MHz like me, you won't have any problems. Doesn't everyone have a
- 486DX???
-
- * Look for new demos to be added to SuperGraphix soon! This is only
- the beginning! It is hoped that graphics programmers around the world
- will contribute screen saver modules. The latest version of
- SuperGraphix will be located on GEnie and CompuServe. Expect an
- updated version about every 6 months.
