PEOPLE, Page 77Royal Strain
By GINIA BELLAFANTE
At this point the scandal-plagued royal family would be
well advised to order a lifetime supply of takeout food and
remain forever sequestered in Buckingham Palace. The latest
controversy of the week occurred during QUEEN ELIZABETH's
goodwill trip to Germany, her first since unification. While
attending a memorial service at Kreuzkirche (Church of the
Cross) in Dresden, a city devastated by a British air raid
during World War II, the Queen met up with some jeering hecklers
who angrily disapproved of Her Majesty's commemorative visit.
Two eggs were hurled in her direction. Thankfully, though, the
Queen was also greeted by a crowd of applauding well-wishers.
