  7.     As if There weren't enough controversy surrounding SPIKE
  8. LEE'S upcoming bio flick, Malcolm X. Now the fiery auteur is
  9. waging a legal battle to retain the right to use 45 seconds of
  10. footage from the Rodney King beating in the opening scenes of
  11. the film. George Holliday, the man who made the tape, is suing
  12. Lee, claiming his original arrangement with the filmmaker was
  13. invalid. "It's a done deal. We have a contract; he cashed the
  14. check," says Spike. Malcolm X is expected to hit theaters this
  15. November.
