merits of "the quicker picker-upper" in Bounty paper-towel ads;
of lung cancer; in Studio City, Calif. She played the nosy
Jewish mother Ida Morgenstern in the 1970s TV series The Mary
Tyler Moore Show and Rhoda and the helpful housekeeper Mildred
in McMillan & Wife.
