  3. Manual Installation Instructions
  4. (If this CD does not automatically start when inserted)

  6. 1. Click Start.
  7. 2. Click Run...
  8. 3. In the Run dialog box, type D:START and press Enter.
  9.    (Substitute the letter of your CD-ROM drive.)
  10. 4. Click "Unlock books or Install".
  11. 5. Follow the directions on the screen.

  13. When do I need a Supplement CD?
  14. -------------------------------
  15. All Bibles and STEP books can be unlocked from a "Primary" CD,
  16. but some books have been removed from the "Primary" CD due to
  17. space constraints. Those books must be installed from the
  18. "Supplement" CD -- we recommend doing a "Complete" installation
  19. from the Supplement CD in order to leave your CD drive available
  20. to read books from the Primary CD. For a complete list of which 
  21. books are included on which CDs, please see the electronic Catalog ("What's on This CD") and/or Help in WORDsearch and LESSONmaker.

  23. LESSONmaker Change
  24. ------------------
  25. The LESSONmaker Introductions (Intro) have been moved to the
  26. Commentary (Cmy) section on the bookshelf.

  35. Currently, some cross-references and links to Apocryphal
  36. books are not working accurately.

  38. Keyboard Utility for BART
  39. -------------------------
  40. A keyboarding utility, Keyman32, has been included in
  41. \NAVPRESS\ALT on this CD. This utility aids the user in 
  42. typing Hebrew or Greek text using the BART fonts.
  43.  
  44. The current version of Keyman, version 3.2, runs under 
  45. Windows 3.x and Windows 95. It does not support Windows NT,
  46. because Windows NT is 32 bit and Unicode based. (Keyman32
  47. is created and distributed by Tavultesoft. It is a free
  48. product and has been included on this CD with Tavultesoft's
  49. permission.)

  54. To install:
  55. 1. Double-click on \NavPress\Alt\KeyMan.EXE to extract the
  56.    setup files.
  57. 2. Type in the directory to which you want the files to 
  58.    extract.
  59. 3. Click on Unzip.
  60. 4. To setup KeyMan, click on SETUP.EXE in the directory 
  61.    where the setup files were extracted.
  62. 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.

  64. Appendix A -- Upgrading from WORDsearch 3.x
  65. -------------------------------------------
  66. If you are upgrading from WORDsearch 3.x to WORDsearch 5,
  67. YOU WILL NEED TO CALL IN FOR A NEW UNLOCK
  68. (iExalt Electronic Publishing 1(800) 888-9898). Your old 
  69. authorization information cannot be read by WORDsearch 5. 
  70. Ask for special upgrade pricing.

  72. You can install directly into your current \NavPress directory.
  73. All personal WORDsearch files (except layouts) will be 
  74. preserved and read by WORDsearch 5 (this includes personal
  75. commentaries, topics, outlines, and desktops). Desktop layouts 
  76. are not preserved but all data within the desktop is preserved.

  78. Appendix B -- Unlock Authorization Files
  79. ----------------------------------------
  80. You should back up your unlock key file to floppy disk after 
  81. completing the unlock procedure. This is done by running the 
  82. Installer. From the Installer's Main Menu, select "Other", then
  83. "Back Up Unlock Keys...". This backup will allow you to restore
  84. your unlock keys if necessary (hard disk crash, defragmenting,
  85. changing operating systems, etc.).

  87. Appendix C -- Backups and Data Loss

  89. Please make frequent backups of your personal commentary, 
  90. personal outlines, and all other data that you create. 
  91. For a variety of reasons, any computer system can lose or 
  92. damage data. iExalt Electronic Publishing accepts no 
  93. responsibility for lost or damaged data.

  95. In WORDsearch, the best way to backup data is to "export,"
  96. using these menu sequences:
