  2. Welcome to EDOS. The base file name is EDOSxxxx.EXE, where
  3. the xxxx = 365a  or greater depending on the version number.
  4. Where file names are limited to 6 characters the name would
  5. be something like EDOS36.EXE. EDOS36xx.EXE is a self extracting
  6. file.  !!!! DO NOT REPACK THIS FILE !!!!!

  8. The self extracting file should be on your HARD disk! ! !
  9.  
  10. You should run it FROM a floppy disk, so that the output will
  11. be ON the FLOPPY disk. BUT, it is not absolutely necessary!
  12. You can unpack to a hard disk. EDOS can NOT be installed by hand. 
  13. Unpack the .exe file according to this set of instructions.
  14. More instructions will display on completion of the unpack.

  16. EDOS CAN NOT be installed by hand. Failure to follow instructions
  17. will result in a failed EDOS installation.

  19. This self extracting system was adopted to improve the reliablity of
  20. the installation process and to simplify your life.
