  1. COMPACK is a powerful program compactor
  2. producing the fastest and smallest EXE and
  3. COM files compared with EXEPACK, LZEXE,
  4. PKLITE etc. BUILDSFX creates self extracting
  5. archives, allowing any data files, not just
  6. programs, to be COMPACKted. These SFX
  7. programs are usually smaller and much
  8. faster than equivalents produced by PKZIP
  9. 1.10, LHARC 1.13, ARJ 2.10 etc. In addition
  10. to performance advantages, SFX programs can
  11. run on single diskette systems simplifying
  12. installation procedures for software
  13. distributors.
