Bob,
I have written a routine to scroll vertically and I quess everyone has,
but the other day a friend of mine made the statement that he wished that we
could scroll horizonally also. I told him I had a book with an assembly
language routine in it that would do the job. Then I drifted off into my usual
daze. After a few moments of brain scratching I told him that I beleived it
could be done in basic ( PowerBasic that is ). With a dare or two I retired to
my computer and worked out the code and sent it to him via modem. I would like
to pass the challenge on to the members of this forum. Write a subroutine that
will scroll horizonally without using assembly. No $INLINE, CALL ABSOLUTE
etc.. ( HINT )It wasn't possible before PowerBasic. What new function makes it
work.
Best Wishes
John
