  7. This file is NOT part of the GNU Emacs, nor (a port of) any official
  8. GNU software. It is an elisp package for use with GNU emacs, and
  9. util/gnu was the best place I could find for it.

  11. Simple general documentation reference database for GNU Emacs.
  12. Use keywords to search for info in all different kinds of
  13. documentation files on your system.
  14.  
  15. Version 1.00 Beta test release intended as a survey, check it out and
  16. see if you find it worth to keep working on, if so please let me know.

  18. The archive contains the following files:
  19. sdoc.readme - This file
  20. sdoc        - Gnu Info file
  21. sdoc.el     - Gnuemacs elisp file
  22.  
  23. Installation etc is covered in the info file.

  25. To read it, press 'g' in info and write the filename for the sdoc info
  26. file in parenthesis. ("(ram:sdoc/sdoc)" if you unpacked the archive in
  27. 'ram:')
