  6. config-server maintains a configuration database that can be tapped by
  7. other applications.  The database is reasonably flexible, I think, and is
  8. accessed via ARexx messages to the config-server port ('config-server').

  10. Included with the config-server program (currently written in ARexx) are a
  11. config-editor (also in ARexx), an example "client" of the config-server
  12. (config-editor, which lets you interactively edit the database) and
  13. `legal.doc' which defines the general legal terms for the software (as
  14. simple and loose as I felt I could manage).  (^&  Lastly, an example
  15. database is provided (just copy it to ENV:).

  17. It has some problems, but is sound on the whole, I believe, and useful.

  20. NOTE: the `olib.org' site may be difficult to reach, as it's my ephemeral
  21. SLIP link (only a few, irregular hours per day).  An MX record should exist
  22. to route mail through `interstate.net'.  If you have an urgent need,
  23. rkr@interstate.net may have it's advantages to use for contacting me, but I
  24. would prefer to be reached "at home" via olib.org.
