The monitor housing is made of a sturdy plastic which encloses and protects the internal components of the monitor. Most monitors have a set of air vents on the back. This allows air to be circulated among the internal components to help cool them. Also on the monitor housing are display adjustment controls. These small dials allow adjustment of contrast, brightness, display aspect, and display position.
