The back panel of the desktop chassis features a variety of connectors and ports through which |input devices|, |output devices|, and |power lines| may be linked with internal components. Devices which usually have their own connectors are the |keyboard|, |monitor|, power line, |modem|, and |printer|. Other input/output ports, either ~serial~ or ~parallel~, allow additional peripherals. |Expansion ports| allow |cards| to add additional functions to the system. Other components on the back panel include a fan exhaust aperture, retaining screws, and a voltage selector switch. In some models, the power switch is found here as well.
