  83. The installation procedure for Hide 'n Seek is quite simple.  The
  84. package includes a program, "SETUP.EXE", which automates the
  85. entire process.  You will need about 110 kbytes of available disk space
  86. on the hard drive on which you plan to install Hide 'n Seek.  You will
  87. also need a copy of "VBRUN200.DLL" which many people already have.  It
  88. requires 357 kbytes of disk space.  It is available from many sources
  89. (BBS's, forums, etc.) and is included on the diskette you will receive
  90. when you register.

  92. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received
  93. Hide 'n Seek.

  96. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTE
  97.  
  98. To install from diskette, you need to perform the following steps.
  99.  
  100.    o  Place Hide 'n Seek distribution diskette in the appropriate
  101.       diskette drive.
  102.  
  103.    o  Run the "SETUP.EXE" program from Windows.
  104.  
  105.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  106.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  107.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The
  108.       program will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy
  109.       the Hide 'n Seek files to that directory.  If you so direct it,
  110.       the installation program will install executable programs and
  111.       documentation in other directories of your choice.  It will
  112.       make no other changes; specifically, it will not modify your
  113.       autoexec.bat or config.sys files.

  118. If you downloaded Hide 'n Seek from a BBS (or received it in the form of
  119. archive files from some other source), you will need to perform the
  120. following steps.

  122.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  123.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  124.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  125.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  126.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  127.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  128.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  129.       the package.
