  11. Have you ever dreamed of playing Tetris "with someone" and not "against
  12. someone"?
  13.  
  14. Well, it is now possible with Teamtris!
  15.  
  16. This exiting new variant of the most popular game of the world let you play
  17. in four different modes:
  18.  
  19.    o One player  / small board       (standard)
  20.    o One player  / large board       (twice as large as standard board)
  21.    o Two players / competition mode  (standard two players game)
  22.    o Two player  / team mode         (two players on the same large board!)

  25. When entering the game, F1 toggles the number of players and F2 chooses the
  26. game mode you want to play and <SPACE BAR> starts the game.
  27.  
  28. The scores are kept in 5 different boards according to the type of game you're
  29. playing:

  31.    o 1 player (small board)
  32.    o 1 player (large board)
  33.    o 2 players (team - individual scores)
  34.    o 2 players (team - team score)
  35.    o 2 players (competition)
  36.  
  37. The program creates a high score file called "TEAMTRIS.HS" wich will be
  38. located in the same directory as "TEAMTRIS.EXE"

  40. The key mapping for the two players are:

  45. Left                 A                <LEFT ARROW> or <KEYPAD-4>              
  46. Right                D                <RIGHT ARROW> or <KEYPAD-6>
  47. Rotate               S          <UP ARROW> or <ENTER> or <KEYPAD-5/8>
  48. Quick Drop      <SPACE BAR>           <DOWN ARROW> or <KEYPAD-2>
  49. Drop                 F                <KEYPAD-0> or <KEYPAD-PLUS>

  51. The quick drop key drops the piece right down the bottom of the board (well,
  52. at least as far it can get!)  The drop key get the piece one step downward.  
  53. This feature is useful if you're not sure about the alingment of a piece or 
  54. if you just want to fill up a whole and you don't want to waste all of your 
  55. precious bonus...  You'll it's use when you'll be in the action! 
  56.  
  57. When playing, hitting the 'N' key toggles the "Noise" ON and OFF.  To pause 
  58. the game hit the 'PAUSE' key.  To continue playing, hit any key.
  59.  
  60. In two player team mode, if one of the players drops his piece on the moving
  61. piece of the other player, the piece will get stock in the middle of the board
  62. as if it has reached the bottom, so be careful!
  63.  
  64. Teamtris runs on color and monochrome VGA display.  To start the game in
  65. monochrome mode, type "teamtris mono" at the DOS prompt and the colors
  66. will be ajusted to be viewable on a monochrome display.
