- THE PERFECT GENERAL is a new strategy game written by White
- Wolf Productions (Mark Baldwin and Bob Rakosky, the same people who
- brought you Empire).

- WHAT THIS DEMO IS ABOUT:

- The demo is a small portion of the entire game. However, one
- may actually play a game against the computer to get a taste for it's
- play. Many more game features are available in the commercial
- version of THE PERFECT GENERAL. For example, the commercial game
- supports modem and two person play. A number of the game rules
- can be changed to the player's taste. Also has a large number of
- various and challenging scenarios are available.

- REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:
-
- COMPUTER: The game requires an IBM PC, XT, AT, PS/2 or 100%
- compatible computer. The machine should have at least 640K of RAM.
- Note, a version is also available for the Amiga family of computers.

- CONTROLS: The game can be run entirely from the keyboard, with
- a joystick or a mouse.
-
- DISPLAY: The game requires a color monitor with an EGA or VGA
- graphics system.
-
- DOS: the game must have DOS version 3.0 or higher. The game
- is compatible with DOS 5.0. The game is also compatible with DesqView
- and Microsoft Windows.

- SOUND: The game optionally uses the internal PC speaker as
- well as supporting the AdLib and Sound Blaster (and compatible) sound
- cards.

- INSTALLING AND RUNNING THE DEMO:

- If the demo has not been installed, run the program 'INSTALL'
- and follow the instructions given. This will allow you to configure
- the game to your system.

- Once installed, execute the program 'PGDEMO'.

- Note, that there is an active help system. If confused, select
- the HELP command or use the <CONTROL-H> keys to bring up the current
- help.
