  3. Automated Installation:

  5. NOTE: CD rom distribution disks do not allow the use of a $ sign in
  6.       file names, so any reference to files prefixed $ have been
  7.       renamed to prefix _, for example: $DEMO.CHX to _DEMO.CHX.

  9.  Insert floppy disk in drive 'A' and make 'A' the primary drive with
  10.  command                ->    A:
  11.  Enter command          ->    INSTALL
  12.  
  13.  By default, INSTALL creates a directory named CHESSRPL on harddrive
  14.  'C'  and copies all files from the floppy to this directory.
  15.  After the copy operation, CHESSRPL will be the primary drive.

  17.  See comments below on how to start program  CHESSRP3.

  19. Manual Installation:
  20.  
  21.  Create a directory on your harddrive, then make it the current
  22.  directory and copy all files from floppy disk to here.
  23.  The CHESSRP3 program will be packaged with at least 10 other files,
  24.  if a 'DIR' command shows a fewer number of files, then you have
  25.  received a condensed package.
  26.  Decompress by executing 'CHESSRPL'.

  28. Recommendations:

  30.  It is highly recommended, that you keep the CHESSRPx programs in the same
  31.  directory in which you have your MOVEs files, because you will then be
  32.  able to use the built-in feature ( the '?' option ) to list 'on-line'
  33.  all the MOVEs file in your current directory.

  35.  It is also highly recommended that your make a copy of your installation
  36.  disk for back-up purposes.

  38. STARTING the program:

  40.  Make CHESSRPL your current directory with these commands:
  41.     c:
  42.     cd\CHESSRPL
  43.  Enter program name: CHESSRP3
  44.  
  45.  First command to CHESSRP3 should be '?' to see all MOVES files.
  46.  There will always be a file named DEMO.
