- ---- Installation and Use of the Chess Replay Program CHESSRP3 ----
- -------------------------------------------------------------------
- Automated Installation:
-
- NOTE: CD rom distribution disks do not allow the use of a $ sign in
- file names, so any reference to files prefixed $ have been
- renamed to prefix _, for example: $DEMO.CHX to _DEMO.CHX.
-
- Insert floppy disk in drive 'A' and make 'A' the primary drive with
- command -> A:
- Enter command -> INSTALL
-
- By default, INSTALL creates a directory named CHESSRPL on harddrive
- 'C' and copies all files from the floppy to this directory.
- After the copy operation, CHESSRPL will be the primary drive.
-
- See comments below on how to start program CHESSRP3.
-
- Manual Installation:
-
- Create a directory on your harddrive, then make it the current
- directory and copy all files from floppy disk to here.
- The CHESSRP3 program will be packaged with at least 10 other files,
- if a 'DIR' command shows a fewer number of files, then you have
- received a condensed package.
- Decompress by executing 'CHESSRPL'.
-
- Recommendations:
-
- It is highly recommended, that you keep the CHESSRPx programs in the same
- directory in which you have your MOVEs files, because you will then be
- able to use the built-in feature ( the '?' option ) to list 'on-line'
- all the MOVEs file in your current directory.
-
- It is also highly recommended that your make a copy of your installation
- disk for back-up purposes.
-
- STARTING the program:
-
- Make CHESSRPL your current directory with these commands:
- c:
- cd\CHESSRPL
- Enter program name: CHESSRP3
-
- First command to CHESSRP3 should be '?' to see all MOVES files.
- There will always be a file named DEMO.
