- Ready for some Mine sweeper with an attitude? This is not your mothers
- Minesweeper! So read the documentation (SWEEPER.DOC) or look through the
- on-line help before starting to play.
-
- I wrote this program to learn how to do OS/2 PM programing. Somewhere along
- the way I gave it an attitude. You will find the following features:
-
- 1) There are rocks in the minefield
- 2) There is an Unexploded bomb in the mine field that needs to be
- defused.
- 3) There is a pesky gopher in the mine field that likes to push
- the mines around and steal your markers.
- 4) You can cheat!!!
- 5) Clear around works by MB1 clicking an open square. Not by chording.
- 6) The silly smiley face button is gone.
-
- Other than that it is your basic mine sweeper game.
-
- This game is distributed as shareware. But the author retains the copyright
- and all other rights. You are encouraged to redistribute the game. You must
- include all the original files including this readme and the documentation.
-
- INSTALLATION
- Since you are reading this I will assume that you have already unzipped the
- files into their own directory (probably GAMES\MINESWP). Having done that
- you only have to create a program object in your games folder or on the desktop
- that will start up Minesweeper. Be sure that you set the working directory
- field on page 1 of the settings notebook to the directory where the files
- have been unzipped.
- You will find the following files:
-
- Readme.doc This file.
- Sweeper.exe The executable game file.
- Sweeper.hlp The on-line help file.
- Sweeper.doc More documentation and instructions to play.
- Sweeper.ini This will be created after you run the game for the 1st time.
-
- There will be no files created or modified in any other directories.
-
- Contacting The author:
- If you have questions you can contact me at either...
- Greeder@Delphi.Com -or- Greed39@IDT.com
-
- I would give you my snail mail address and ask for money but I know that
- no one registers games. So if you use the game just send me a note by
- email and I'll consider you a registered user.
-
- A few last words:
- Yes, my spelling is awful. What's your point?
- And I'm not an artist so my bitmaps my leave a little to be desired.
- If you want to design a new set of bitmaps for me send me a note at one of the
- above email addresses and I'll send you a list and specification for the
- bitmaps.
- If you are bilingual and want to help do a foreign language version.
- Again, send me a note at one of the above e-mail addresses and I'll send you
- a copy of the documentation and resource files to be translated.
-
- Thanks and have fun playing!
