  6.     There's a murmur from the crowd and Bashir falters
  7.     momentarily as Koval makes his way through the hall
  8.     and takes the empty chair right up front. Koval's
  9.     eyes bore into him and Bashir doesn't like the fact
  10.     that the chairman seems so interested in his
  11.     lecture.
  12.  
  13.                     BASHIR
  14.             I'd, uh... I'd like to start with
  15.             an overview of the weapon that's
  16.             become known as... the
  17.             Quickening.
  18.  
  19.     He hits a control and the large monitor DISPLAYS a
  20.     picture of a woman's face which has the distinctive
  21.     markings of the Quickening.
  22.  
  23.                     BASHIR
  24.             This is an adult female
  25.             inhabitant of Boranis Three. The
  26.             markings on her face are typical
  27.             of a humanoid infected by the
  28.             disease, but not yet in the
  29.             terminal stage.
  30.  
  31.     He hits the control again, and the picture CHANGES,
  32.     now showing the same woman with a more advanced case
  33.     of the Quickening.
  34.  
  35. 19   KOVAL
  36.  
  37.     leans forward in his seat, very interested in the
  38.     picture.
  39.  
  40. 20   BASHIR
  41.  
  42.     watches Koval's interest with a growing sense of
  43.     disquiet.
  44.  
  45. 21   KOVAL
  46.  
  47.     seems to realize he's being watched and looks back
  48.     at Bashir. His eyes are dead.

  50. 22   BASHIR

  52.     is chilled once again by the man's gaze. He quickly
  53.     goes back to his notes and tries to carry on.
