  2.      DEEP SPACE NINE: "Prodigal... " - REV. 11/05/98 - ACT THREE     45.
  3.
  4. 22   CONTINUED:    (2)
  5.
  6.                     JANEL
  7.             It says fifty-two J...
  8.
  9.                     O'BRIEN
  10.             I know. But it's definitely an
  11.             L. It must've been accidently
  12.             mislabeled.
  13.
  14.                     JANEL
  15.                 (darkly)
  16.             Or deliberately...
  17.
  18.     A voice interrupts.
  19.
  20.                     BOKAR'S VOICE
  21.             Another equipment failure?
  22.
  23.     They turn to see that BOKAR has just stepped into
  24.     the cavern. Bokar is a well-dressed Farian (also in
  25.     a helmet) who has a somewhat chilling quality to him
  26.     despite his outwardly pleasant demeanor.
  27.
  28.                     BOKAR
  29.                 (to Janel)
  30.             Perhaps if you hadn't dismissed
  31.             Mister Lorkin, this wouldn't have
  32.             happened.
  33.
  34.                     JANEL
  35.                 (tight)
  36.             He was dismissed on my Mother's
  37.             personal order.
  38.
  39.                     BOKAR
  40.             Then we'll have to find a way of
  41.             changing her mind, won't we?
  42.
  43.     Janel glares at him, but says nothing. Bokar's gaze
  44.     goes to O'Brien, who's taken an instant dislike to
  45.     Bokar.
  46.
  47.                     BOKAR
  48.                 (continuing)
  49.             Who's your new mechanic, Janel?
  50.
  51.                     JANEL
  52.             This is Mister O'Brien. He's a
  53.             friend of the family.
  54.
  55.                     BOKAR
  56.             That wouldn't be Chief O'Brien
  57.             would it?
  58.
  59.                     O'BRIEN
  60.             How'd you know that?
  61.
