  6.     Kira and Fala are part of a CROWD heading toward the
  7.     Temple -- they pass a BAJORAN sounding CHIMES,
  8.     calling everyone to worship.
  9.  
  10. 12   INT. EMPOK NOR - TEMPLE
  11.  
  12.     Kira and Fala stand near the back of the gathered
  13.     crowd, which includes Brin, Mika, Benyan and a
  14.     Bajoran woman who we'll come to know as the
  15.     community MIDWIFE.
  16.  
  17.     Kira listens uneasily as they CHANT in Bajoran --
  18.     it's hard for her to hear homage being paid to
  19.     entities she considers evil.
  20.  
  21.                     ALL
  22.             -- ba'ja kor'ek, no'la ba'lani,
  23.             pah'nom ko'se plusso ma'kora.
  24.             Ba'ja kor'ek, no'la ba'lani,
  25.             pah'nom ko'se plusso ma'kora.

  27.     Dukat EMERGES from behind the banner, and his
  28.     appearance sends an almost electric current of joy
  29.     through the crowd.

  34.             children. (The love of the Pah-
  35.             wraiths be with you.)

  50.     around her, Kira sees people with their eyes shut,
