  6.     (A RE-DRESS of Quark's bar. The bar, tables and
  7.     chairs are gone, and an ALTAR sits where the dabo
  8.     table usually is. Atop the altar rests a
  9.     CENTERPIECE displaying what we'll come to recognize
  10.     as the SYMBOL of the Pah-wraiths. The backlit mural
  11.     has been refitted with a BANNER displaying the same
  12.     symbol. Most of the light comes from CANDLES placed
  13.     throughout the room.)

  15.     Kira RE-MATERIALIZES in the center of the room with
  16.     the crystal in her hand. She finds herself amidst a
  17.     group of about SIX BAJORANS, who seem to have been
  18.     expecting her arrival and regard her with welcoming
  19.     smiles.

  21.     All wear the distinctive RED ARMBANDS that identify
  22.     them as members of the Pah-wraith cult. One of
  23.     them, a man named BRIN, steps forward.

  25.                     BRIN
  26.             Welcome to Empok Nor...

  28.     Kira reacts to hearing her location, can't believe
  29.     she was transported such a great distance.

  31.                     KIRA
  32.             Empok Nor? That's impossible.

  34.                     BRIN
  35.             I know it's a long way from Deep
  36.             Space Nine --
  37.                 (taking the crystal)
  38.             This transponder allowed us to
  39.             beam you here.

  41.     Her eyes fall to the Pah-wraith symbol on the
  42.     banner, then to the red armbands -- we see a shiver
  43.     of recognition cross her features.

  45.                     KIRA
  46.             Those armbands... you belong to
  47.             the cult of the Pah-wraiths...

  49.                     BRIN
  50.             We worship the True Prophets,
  51.             yes.

  53.     This is blasphemy to Kira's ears, and she can't
  54.     quite keep the edge from her voice as she replies.
