  40.     Federation has occupied it for the past five months.

  42.     Sisko and his crew pass through a barricade of 
  43.     crates, rocks and the twenty-fourth century 
  44.     equivalent of sandbags.

  46.     CHIEF LARKIN, a sinewy, steel-eyed woman in her mid-
  47.     thirties, is in mid-argument with VARGAS, a high-
  48.     strung young soldier who has a bloody cloth wrapped 
  49.     around one of his arms.
