  13.             story now? And before you say no 
  14.             -- you better consider the fact 
  15.             that if you don't tell me, you 
  16.             won't have a third baseman.

  18.     Kasidy takes a seat, crosses her arms and adopts an 
  19.     unmovable "I'm waiting" attitude. Sisko isn't eager 
  20.     to tell the tale, but he knows when it's useless to
  21.     resist. He starts pacing again, swinging the bat 
  22.     idly.

  25.             We were in the same class at the 
  26.             Academy. One weekend I was with 
  27.             some friends at a bar off-campus 
  28.             -- the Launching Pad -- and Solok 
  29.             came in with a group of Vulcan 
  30.             cadets.

  32.             Said they were doing 
  33.             "research"... on illogical human 
  34.             bonding rituals. We didn't take 
  35.             too kindly to that.

  43.             We got into a... debate. Solok
  44.             said that Vulcans were naturally
  45.             superior to Humans and other
  46.             "emotionally handicapped"
  47.             species. I took the opposite
  48.             point of view. So there I am...
