  8.     surrounding them. Sisko is far ahead of Ezri, while 
  9.     Jake and Joseph bring up the rear, a football field 
  10.     behind him.

  12. 32   ON THE HOT SUN
  13.  
  14.     beating down relentlessly.
  15.  
  16.                                     DISSOLVE TO:
  17.  
  18. 33   BACK TO SISKO
  19.  
  20.     still on the move. Without stopping, Sisko takes 
  21.     off his backpack, leaving only the shovel strapped 
  22.     around his shoulder. He reaches inside the pack and 
  23.     takes out his baseball, then tosses the pack away, 
  24.     getting rid of the extra weight.
  25.  
  26.     Gripping the ball in his hand, he continues his 
  27.     march.
  28.  
  29. 34   ANGLE ON SISKO'S DISCARDED PACK
  30.  
  31.     Ezri's hand reaches into frame and picks it up. 
  32.     Ezri looks out toward Sisko. Clearly concerned by 
  33.     his behavior, she reaches into the pack and takes 
  34.     out the water pouches, stashing them away in her own 
  35.     pack.
  36.  
  37.                                     DISSOLVE TO:
  38.  
  39. 35   NEW ANGLE
  40.  
  41.     to see Joseph and Jake, moving slowly up a sand 
  42.     dune. Having fallen far behind, there's no sign of 
  43.     Sisko or Ezri.
  44.  
  45.     As Jake and Joseph struggle up to the top of the 
  46.     dune.

  48. 36   JAKE AND JOSEPH'S POV
  49.  
  50.     of the desert stretched out before them, no end in 
  51.     sight.
  52.
