  10.             anything we'd ever seen. When we 
  11.             probed it with our scanners, it 
  12.             triggered a quantum reaction. 
  13.                 (grim) 
  14.             There was an enormous surge of 
  15.             metrion radiation that disabled 
  16.             our engines. The next thing I 
  17.             knew, we were spiraling in toward 
  18.             the surface. I gave the order to 
  19.             abandon ship and the last thing 
  20.             I remember is a console exploding 
  21.             in my face.
