  6.     Miles and Keiko sit on the couch watching young Molly, 
  7.     who's sprawled on the floor several feet away from 
  8.     them, COLORING on some PAPER. Kirayoshi is nearby in 
  9.     his playpen. Chester's curled up on a chair, asleep.
  10.  
  11.                     O'BRIEN 
  12.             The captain volunteered to 
  13.             represent me at the hearing.
  14.  
  15.                     KEIKO 
  16.             If anyone can make Starfleet 
  17.             understand what you did, it's him.
  18.  
  19.                     MOLLY 
  20.             Mommy?
  21.  
  22.                     KEIKO 
  23.             Yeah, honey?
  24.  
  25.                     MOLLY
  26.                 (as she draws) 
  27.             That girl who found me -- can I 
  28.             see her again?
  29.  
  30.     Keiko knows she couldn't possibly explain time-travel 
  31.     to an eight-year-old, and finds another way to answer 
  32.     the question.

  34.                     KEIKO
  35.                 (wistful) 
  36.             Not for a while, sweetheart.

  38.                     MOLLY 
  39.             She was so nice..
  40.  
  41.     O'Brien ruminates about what happened for a beat, then 
  42.     explains it to Keiko, as much for his benefit as hers.

  44.                     O'BRIEN 
  45.             According to Dax, the 
  46.             recalibration didn't hold, so the 
  47.             portal sent her back to the same 
  48.             point in time that it sent little 
  49.             Molly.

  51.     Keiko takes this in, tries to imagine what transpired 
  52.     in the cave...

  54.                     KEIKO 
  55.             I wonder if she understood that 
  56.             the little girl she was looking at 
  57.             was herself.
