  12.     Sisko has discarded his jacket and has opened his vest 
  13.     by now.

  15.                     SISKO 
  16.             Bribery and cover up -- those were 
  17.             new for me. That was my first 
  18.             moment of real doubt. I started 
  19.             to wonder if the whole thing was 
  20.             a mistake.
  21.                 (beat) 
  22.             Then I got back to my office and 
  23.             there was a new casualty list 
  24.             waiting for me.
  25.                 (angry) 
  26.             People are dying out there. Every 
  27.             day. Entire worlds are struggling 
  28.             for their freedom and here I am 
  29.             still worrying about the finer 
  30.             points of morality. I had to keep 
  31.             my eye on the ball. Winning the 
  32.             war, stopping the bloodshed -- 
  33.             those were the priorities.

  39.     Sisko is walking toward a turbolift.

  42.             So I pushed on. And every time 
  43.             another doubt appeared before me, 
  44.             I just found another way to shove 
  45.             it aside.

  47.     Sisko presses the control outside the lift and waits. 
  48.     Garak steps up next to him.
