  12.     SISKO is sitting on his couch, his finger on a control 
  13.     pad on a nearby table. The room is DARK and moody. 
  14.     The captain has just gone through a long and trying 
  15.     ordeal and now wants to unburden himself. He faces
  16.     camera and addresses us directly as he begins to 
  17.     dictate his private log.
  18.  
  19.                     SISKO
  20.             Captain's Personal Log: Stardate
  21.             Five-one-seven...
  22.                 (unsure) 
  23.             Five-one-seven... four?
  24.  
  25.     He trails off, suddenly aware of the fact that he 
  26.     doesn't even know what day this is.
  27.  
  28.                     SISKO
  29.                 (annoyed) 
  30.             Computer -- what day is it?
  31.  
  32.                     COMPUTER VOICE 
  33.             Thursday. Stardate 51721.3.

  36.                 (to himself)
  37.             It's only been two weeks...
  38.  
  39.     He loses himself for a beat, then remembers that he's 
  40.     recording a log. He looks up at us again.

  42.                     SISKO 
  43.             I need to talk about this. I have 
  44.             to justify what's happened... what 
  45.             I've done... at least to myself. 
  46.             I can't talk to anyone else... not 
  47.             even Dax. Maybe if I just lay it 
  48.             all out in my log, it'll finally 
  49.             make sense... and I'll see where 
  50.             it all went wrong... where I went 
  51.             wrong.
