  6.     Kira ENTERS to find Meru, seated at a table, studying 
  7.     a kotra board in mid-game. She looks up to see Kira --
  8.  
  9.                     MERU
  10.             Luma!
  11.  
  12.     Meru immediately stands to greet her friend. We see 
  13.     that Meru is not the same woman anymore. She seems at 
  14.     ease in her surroundings, like a great lady of an 
  15.     estate. She's no longer dressed in the sexy gowns of 
  16.     a comfort woman, but rather in tasteful, elegant 
  17.     clothing.

  19.     But Kira sees none of this -- all she cares about is
  20.     that her mother is alive and well.

  22.                     KIRA
  23.             Are you all right?
  24.  
  25.     The two women hug.
  26.  
  27.                     KIRA 
  28.             I've been worried about you ever 
  29.             since that night they took you 
  30.             away.

  32.     Kira steps back from the hug to look at her mother.

  34.                     MERU 
  35.             I know. I wanted to get a message

  38.                     KIRA
  39.             Has he hurt you?
