  6.     Establishing -- in orbit around Bajor.

  8. 40   INT. HABITAT RING CORRIDOR

  10.     Basso, still flanked by the Cardassian guards, leads 
  11.     a GROUP of Bajoran women down the hallway. As he 
  12.     passes each doorway, he assigns two women to each room 
  13.     by pointing where they should stand. The women then 
  14.     stand by the doorways, awaiting further instructions. 
  15.     Meru, like most of the other women, hasn't gotten over 
  16.     being separated from her family. She looks defeated 
  17.     and scared.
  18.  
  19.     Seeing the pattern, Kira switches places with another 
  20.     Bajoran woman and falls into step with her mother. 
  21.     That way, she and her mother are assigned the same room.
  22.  
  23.     At the end of the corridor, Basso turns to face the 
  24.     women standing by their doorways.
  25.  
  26.                     BASSO 
  27.             You will find food in your 
  28.             quarters. Eat as much as you want 
  29.             and make sure you get a good 
  30.             night's rest. You'll want to look 
  31.             your best tomorrow.
  32.  
  33.     Basso turns to go, then stops and turns back for one 
  34.     last comment --
  35.  
  36.                     BASSO 
  37.             And feel free to linger as long 
  38.             as you want in the sonic showers. 
  39.             Cardassians value cleanliness.
  40.  
  41.     And with that, the doors all OPEN and the women EXIT 
  42.     into their quarters.

  44. 41   INT. KIRA AND MERU'S QUARTERS
  45.  
  46.     Kira and Meru ENTER -- and the second the door closes 
  47.     behind them, Kira turns to Meru.
  48.  
  49.                     KIRA 
  50.             Meru, listen to me -- I know 
  51.             things look bad, but don't give 
  52.             up just yet... we'll find a way 
  53.             out of here.
