  4. 18   ON KIRA
  5.  
  6.     reacting to her surroundings; her painful memories of 
  7.     the occupation are brought shockingly back to life.
  8.  
  9.     Kira begins to walk through the refugee encampment; the 
  10.     harsh truth is that she really doesn't want to be back 
  11.     here and yet she knows she has to do this. We see her 
  12.     steel herself; she can't allow the misery surrounding 
  13.     her to overwhelm her. 
  14.  
  15.     Suddenly, she hears a familiar voice --
  16.  
  17.                     TABAN (O.S.) 
  18.             Meru! I found Nerys. 
  19.  
  20.     Kira turns to the voice.
  21.  
  22. 19   KIRA'S POV
  23.  
  24.     of her father, TABAN, holding a three year old KIRA 
  25.     NERYS by the hand, and carrying her baby brother, REON.
  26.  
  27. 20   BACK TO KIRA
  28.  
  29.     as she reacts to the sight of her family. She looks 
  30.     over to one side to see --
  31.  
  32. 21   KIRA'S POV
  33.  
  34.     of her mother, Kira Meru, also holding a baby boy, as 
  35.     she approaches her family, a smile of relief breaks 
  36.     across her face as she sees that her daughter is okay. 
  37.     Meru is thirty-two years old, and though she is haggard 
  38.     and grimy from the life she has been forced to lead 
  39.     here at the refugee center, she is still a striking 
  40.     woman -- tall and slender with attractive, angular 
  41.     features. Meru is holding two metal soup canisters.
  42.  
  43. 22   ON KIRA
  44.  
  45.     Her face is a mixture of joy and sorrow as she gazes
  46.     upon her long lost family. And on this image, we:
