  17.     stands at the dais, where the orb has been placed, and 
  18.     solemnly places both hands on the sides of the box. 
  19.     Closing his eyes, he begins to chant:

  23.             dhar jeek... teram far che... 
  24.             yavar ha iktasho...

  27. 27   BAREIL AND KIRA

  29.     as she and the other Bajorans close their eyes and join 
  30.     in on the chant.
