  7.     Martok places the emblem in the bowl.

  9.                     MARTOK AND WORF
  10.             Martok degh. (Badge of Martok)

  12.     Worf turns to his son.
  13.  
  14.                     WORF
  15.             Alexander, vih-nob dok-tog. (Give 
  16.             him your dagger.)
  17.  
  18.     Alexander solemnly hands it to Martok, who deftly 
  19.     slices into his palm, closes his fist and drips his 
  20.     blood onto the emblem.
  21.  
  22.                     MARTOK 
  23.             Wachk ihw, wachk kkor-duh. (one 
  24.             blood, one house.)
  25.  
  26.     He hands the knife to Worf, who does the same.
  27.  
  28.                     WORF
  29.             Wachk ihw, wachk kkor-duh
  30.  
  31.     Worf hands it to Alexander, who does the same.
  32.  
  33.                     ALEXANDER 
  34.             Wachk ihw, wachk kkor-duh.
  35.  
  36.     Martok covers the insignia with liquid from the 
  37.     decanter. Touches the candle flame to it. The bowl 
  38.     bursts into flame. Alexander looks steadily at Martok, 
  39.     their eyes reflecting the flames.
  40.  
  41.                     ALEXANDER
  42.             Mat-LEH gih-Hegh! (I will be 
  43.             faithful even beyond death.)
  44.  
  45.     The fire abruptly burns out.
  46.  
  47.                     MARTOK 
  48.             DAH! (now!)
  49.  
  50.     Worf watches intently, pride seeping out every pore, as 
  51.     Alexander reaches into the bowl, pulls out the insignia 
  52.     and affixes it to his shoulder.
  53.  
  54.                     MARTOK 
  55.             Welcome to the House of Martok, 
  56.             Alexander, Son of Worf.
  57.
