  15.             Occupation.

  18.             We succeeded.

  21.             And I refuse to see everything 
  22.             we've accomplished torn down 
  23.             again.

  25.             The sad truth is, if there's a 
  26.             war, the Federation can't 
  27.             guarantee Bajor's safety. Which 
  28.             means Bajor has to be kept out of 
  29.             the fighting.
  30.                 (a beat) 
  31.             I don't like this any more than 
  32.             you do, major, but it's Bajor's 
  33.             only chance for survival.

  35.     This is tough for Kira to accept, but finally she nods in agreement.

  39.     Re-establishing.  There're several Bajoran cargo ships
  40.     docked at the station.

  43.             Captain's log, Supplemental: Bajor 
  44.             has signed the non-aggression pact 
  45.             with the Dominion. All Bajoran 
  46.             personnel have been ordered to 
  47.             evacuate the station.

  49. 27   INT. PROMENADE

  51.     The evacuation is under way. Bajorans, both military 
  52.     and civilian, are streaming into the airlocks.
