  6.                     MORA (Cont'd)
  7.             Without any warning, it'll just
  8.             announce that it's striking out on 
  9.             its own -- and you'll never hear 
  10.             from it again.
  11.  
  12.     Odo looks away -- he knows he hurt Mora when he left, 
  13.     but he's not about to admit it.
  14.  
  15.                     MORA
  16.             I'm going to get something to 
  17.             eat...
  18.  
  19.     As he turns away, a MORPHING SOUND gets his attention. 
  20.     He and Odo turn toward the column of goo and react --
  21.  
  22. 27   OMITTED
  23.  
  24. 28   NEW ANGLE (OPTICAL)
  25.  
  26.     To their amazement, it starts to MORPH up and out of 
  27.     the Petri dish to form a single thick TENTACLE.
  28.  
  29.     As the two men watch with fascination, the tentacle 
  30.     gropes its way toward them, as if trying to sense where 
  31.     they are. It comes to within two feet of Mora, hangs 
  32.     there for a moment as if taking him in, then turns its 
  33.     attention to Odo.
  34.  
  35.     A beat, then something extraordinary happens... a FACE 
  36.     starts to form on the tentacle's leading surface. The 
  37.     features are vaguely defined, Odo-like -- but it's 
  38.     clear that the creature has formed eyes and is peering 
  39.     curiously at Odo.
  40.  
  41.     They look at each other, face to face for a beat, then 
  42.     Odo smiles... as quickly as it formed, the goo returns 
  43.     to the Petri dish and settles back into its gelatinous
  44.     form...
  45.  
  46.     Off Odo and Mora as they react to this surprising turn 
  47.     of events...
  48.  
  49.                                 FADE OUT.
