  11.     somber thought. There's an air of loss and sadness 
  12.     about him.

  14.     After a long beat, he looks over to the painting of 
  15.     B'hala on the wall monitor. He moves to study it. 
  16.     Whatever answers the painting once contained, they're 
  17.     now lost to him.

  19. The DOOR CHIMES.

  21.                     SISKO
  22.             Yes.

  24.     The door OPENS to reveal Admiral Whatley, who steps in.

  26.                     WHATLEY
  27.             How are you feeling?

  29.                     SISKO
  30.             I'm fine, admiral.

  32.     But the admiral can see the sadness in Sisko's face, 
  33.     and his concern for Sisko is genuine, but there are 
  34.     larger issues at stake.

  36.                     WHATLEY
  37.             Look Ben, it's not too late. You 
  38.             could contact the Chamber of 
  39.             Ministers. Tell them you were 
  40.             wrong. Convince them to accept 
  41.             Federation membership.

  45.             I can't do that. The visions may 
  46.             have faded, but everything I said, 
  47.             everything I did, still feels 
  48.             right.

  50.             When I said Bajor should wait 
  51.             before it joins the Federation, I
