  7.     what he's feeling now, as he's watched his son become 
  8.     a man.

  13. 2    INT. ROM'S QUARTERS

  15.     ROM, dressed in his maintenance uniform, is 
  16.     meticulously neatening his quarters, making sure 
  17.     everything is just so. His door CHIMES. Rom smiles 
  18.     with excited anticipation.
  19.  
  20.                     ROM
  21.             Come in.
  22.  
  23.     The door opens and QUARK comes in carrying a heavy 
  24.     crate. Rom's face drops.
  25.  
  26.                     ROM
  27.             Oh. It's you.
  28.  
  29.                     QUARK
  30.             Who'd you think it was?
  31.  
  32.                     ROM
  33.             Nog.
  34.  
  35.                     QUARK
  36.                 (exasperated)
  37.             How could it be Nog? His ship
  38.             hasn't even docked yet.
  39.  
  40.                     ROM
  41.                 (smiling sheepishly)
  42.             I guess I wasn't thinking.

  44.                     QUARK
  45.             So what else is new?

  47.     Quark elbows Rom aside and drops the crate down. It 
  48.     lands with a thud.
  49.  
  50.                     ROM
  51.             Can I help it if I'm excited? My
  52.             son is coming home.
  53.  
  54.     Rom takes a bottle out of the crate and stares at it 
  55.     gleefully.
  56.  
  57.                     ROM
  58.             Root beer. His favorite. I don't
  59.             know how to thank you, brother.
