  11. 56   RESUME SCENE

  13.                     KALANDRA
  14.                 (rallying her people) 
  15.             We can do this.

  17.     Another EXPLOSION shakes the room -- Bashir weighs in 
  18.     to help Kalandra.
  19.  
  20.                     BASHIR 
  21.             We have to stay calm. Focus on 
  22.             your job. Those people in there 
  23.             need us.
  24.  
  25.                     KALANDRA 
  26.             Let's move.
  27.  
  28.     Galvanized by her words, the group breaks up, heads 
  29.     out... Jake makes to follow, but once the last of them 
  30.     is out the door he drops back, leans against the wall, 
  31.     struggles to steady his uneven breathing... an 
  32.     explosion triggers another cascade of dust.
  33.  
  34.     Jake stands there in the FLICKERING LIGHTS, unable to 
  35.     move, paralyzed with dread...
  36.  
  37. INT. CAVERN - MAIN WARD
  38.  
  39.     The evacuation in progress. Nurses and orderlies are 
  40.     getting patients onto stretchers and taking them out a 
  41.     BACK EXIT. Their urgent shouts, the FLICKERING LIGHTS, 
  42.     the EXPLOSIONS -- it all adds up to a scene of utter 
  43.     Pandemonium.

  45. 58   TWO STARFLEET GUARDS
  46.  
  47.     armed with phaser RIFLES have taken up position near 
  48.     the entrance -- one is male, one female.
  49.  
  50. 59   KALANDRA
  51.  
  52.     is standing near the back exit, motioning to some 
  53.     patients able to walk on their own.
