  7.     wall. The Bolian is eating at one of the tables. A
  8.     few SUPERNUMERARIES as needed.

  10.     Kirby and the Nurse ENTER in mid-conversation.

  12.                     NURSE
  13.             I saw the report on Doctor 
  14.             Kalandra's desk. According to
  15.             Resource, it's only a matter of 
  16.             time before the Klingons reach the 
  17.             compound.
  18.  
  19.     Jake can't help but overhear this, and it makes his 
  20.     throat go dry. Kirby is rattled by the news too, but 
  21.     rather than show it, he vents his anxiety with a little 
  22.     gallows humor.
  23.  
  24.                     KIRBY 
  25.             I guess that means I have to 
  26.             decide.
  27.  
  28.                     NURSE 
  29.             Decide what?
  30.  
  31.                     KIRBY 
  32.             Whether I'd rather get hacked to 
  33.             bits, or blasted by a disruptor.

  35.                     NURSE
  36.                 (playing along) 
  37.             Disruptor, no doubt about it -- 
  38.             every molecule in your body 
  39.             vaporized in a flash. No time to 
  40.             feel pain.

  42.     The Bolian looks up from his food.

  45.             Don't be so sure about that. Some 
  46.             people think it's like being 
  47.             boiled alive.

  49.     This is all hitting Jake the wrong way -- far from 
  50.     being amused, it's only stoking his anxiety. He gets 
  51.     up, crosses to the replicator.

  54.             Decapitation has its virtues. A 
  55.             clean blow with a nice, sharp 
  56.             bat'leth.
