  10.             years old... clinging to me
  11.             because held scraped his knee and
  12.             I was the only one in the world
  13.             who could make it better.

  15.     Sisko smiles at the memory...

  18.             I remember getting up sometimes in 
  19.             the middle of the night and 
  20.             slipping into his room just to 
  21.             make sure he was all right... I'd 
  22.             sit there and watch him sleep... 
  23.             and think to myself that no matter 
  24.             what, I'd never let anything bad 
  25.             happen to this child.

  27.     Sisko shakes his head in wonder...

  30.             Now he's a sector away, in the 
  31.             middle of a war zone, and there's 
  32.             nothing I can do to protect him.
