  7. 14   INT. CAVERN - MAIN WARD
  8.  
  9.     There are about TWENTY COTS in the room, many of them 
  10.     already occupied with convalescing patients. Some of 
  11.     the cots have MEDICAL EQUIPMENT standing near them, 
  12.     some have IV RACKS holding thermos-like bottles. 
  13.     Nurses and Orderlies move around the room, 
  14.     administering HYPOS, adjusting BANDAGES, checking LIFE-
  15.     SUPPORT EQUIPMENT, etc.
  16.  
  17.     Three tunnels lead into and out of the main ward -- an 
  18.     ENTRANCE from triage, a back EXIT, and a tunnel leading 
  19.     to another, unseen ward. This last tunnel has a cot or 
  20.     two inside it, and we see Orderlies with stretchers 
  21.     entering and exiting through it. As in the triage 
  22.     area, support beams and power conduits can be seen in 
  23.     the rockface.

  25.     Jake and Kirby ENTER with their patient on a stretcher 
  26.     between them --
  27.  
  28.                     KIRBY
  29.             This way --
  30.  
  31.     Kirby starts to lead Jake between the cots toward an 
  32.     empty bed. Jake has to struggle to keep up as they 
  33.     wind through the tight spaces between cots. He knocks 
  34.     into an IV RACK standing near a patient's bed, almost 
  35.     tips it over.
  36.  
  37.                     KIRBY
  38.             Watch it!
  39.  
  40.     Jake steadies the rack with his foot, keeps it from 
  41.     falling.

  43.                     KIRBY
  44.                 (meaning it)
  45.             Nice move...
  46.  
  47.     They reach an empty bed near the rock wall, and as they 
  48.     prepare to move the unconscious patient, Kirby speaks 
  49.     to him --
  50.  
  51.                     KIRBY 
  52.                 (wry) 
  53.             Here you are, sir, a nice private 
  54.             room with a view. 
  55.                 (to Jake)
