  4. 26   INT. HOLOSUITE/QUARKIS BAR (OPTICAL)

  6.     The bar is empty. Quark is sitting at a table, eating
  7.     a plate of food which he is enjoying as if it where his
  8.     last meal. The figure of Garak approaches from behind.
  9.     Quark doesn't hear him or sense him in any way. Garak
  10.     slides his arm to his throat, and with a sharp, quick
  11.     move of his other hand, SNAPS Quark's neck. Quark
  12.     keels over into his meal, stone dead.
  13.  
  14.                     GAPAK
  15.             How's that?
  16.  
  17.     WIDEN to include the real Quark, who's been standing to
  18.     one side, watching.
  19.  
  20.                     QUARK
  21.             Awful. Did you hear that sound of
  22.             bone snapping? I don't want that
  23.             to be the last thing I hear.
  24.  
  25.                     GARAK,
  26.             It wasn't that loud...
  27.  
  28.                     QUARK
  29.             You don't have these ears.
  30.             Snapping vertebrae is out.
  31.  
  32.                     GARAK
  33.             We're running out of options,
  34.             Quark. You don't want to be
  35.             vaporized because you need a
  36.             body... the disruptor ruined your
  37.             clothes... a knife was too
  38.             savage... the nerve gas smelled
  39.             bad... hanging took too long, and
  40.             poison... what was wrong with
  41.             poison?
  42.  
  43.                     QUARK
  44.             It won't work. If I know my food
  45.             is poisoned, I won't eat it.
  46.  
  47.     Quark grimaces looking at the dead body.
  48.  
  49.                     QUARK
  50.             Can you get rid of that? The
  51.             sight of it makes me sick.
  52.  
  53.                     GARAK
  54.             Computer. Remove corpse.
  55.  
  56.     The dead Quark disappears.
