  7.     with a great deal to think about...

  9. 31   EXT. RUINED CITY - DAY

  11.     as Bashir wanders through the street, lost in 
  12.     thought... As he passes, people point him out to each 
  13.     other -- there's the doctor who caused so many to die 
  14.     painfully.
  15.  
  16.     A MAN passes in front of him, spits on the ground... 
  17.     Bashir can't even look him in the eye... continues 
  18.     on...
  19.  
  20. 32   EXT. ANOTHER PART OF THE CITY - DAY
  21.  
  22.     as Bashir makes his way through the ruined street, 
  23.     something off-screen catches Bashir's eye...
  24.  
  25. 33   NEW ANGLE
  26.  
  27.     revealing that Bashir's standing in front of the MURAL 
  28.     Ekoria's husband painted. Even though it's weathered
  29.     and damaged in places, from this angle, it looks like 
  30.     he's standing in the long-gone street itself -- 
  31.     magically transported to a better time and place.
  32.  
  33.     He stands there, struck by the hopefulness embodied in 
  34.     the act of painting such a thing amidst all the 
  35.     destruction... until --
  36.  
  37.                     EKORIA (O.S.)
  38.             I'm glad you got a chance to see 
  39.             it before you left.

  41.  
  42.     He turns at the sound of her voice... and reacts to the 
  43.     sight of her.
  44.  
  45. 34   INCLUDE EKORIA

  47.     We see that the welts on her face have gone RED -- 
  48.     she's quickened.
  49.  
  50.                     BASHIR
  51.                 (stricken)
  52.             Ekoria...

  54.     She smiles sadly... her hand falls to her belly...
